Bring on growth & action taking! This is the first post of hopefully many to come. I enjoy writing about things that I love and things that will help inspire and motivate other moms like myself. I hope you stick with me on this lovely journey of life and self-growth.
This New Year will be another year of massive growth & action taking and personal development in many areas of my life. In the last two years, our family has made major changes that most people are too set in their ways or scared to make happen.
To become great at anything you have to step outside of your comfort zone and change your way of thinking. You must do what the majority won’t do in order to experience above average results in anything.
I hope that this new blog Chelseas.Life, will enable me to collect my thoughts and truly inspire others to do take huge acts of self-improvement growth & action taking for a more fulfilling life. My husband and I started out in 2017 on a journey to better health. We started drinking more water, cut out all alcohol, eat a healthier diet, and became a lot more active. Since then we feel so much more alive, more energy, better moods, and another great side effect, we both lost a lot of weight (200+ combined)!
In 2020 we will be changing our diets even further to become…
VEGETARIAN. We actually already started at the last couple weeks but we have chicken here and there to empty out the freezer. But to tell you the truth, I don’t even want to eat that chicken.
We will probably end up giving it away or saving it for the kids. My husband and I don’t want to force them to stop eating chicken but instead strive to have them follow our food choices.
I grew up on a farm and never in a million years would I have ever thought I would turn into a vegetarian. We raised and butchered our own meat. On the farm, we were taught to always pay respect to the animal that was sacrificing itself for our nourishment, and I was ok with that.
I understood it was a part of life and we needed to eat meat. I have since then learned meat’s not as healthy as I thought and it’s not necessary. Now that I’m in my 30s, I care about my health more. The movie “The Game Changers” NetFlix documentary opened my mind to the damage I’ve been doing to my body this whole time. We can go more into that in another blog post.
Free At Last! After 19 years of working traditional jobs!
Year 2019 was a huge year for us. It definitely felt like a roller-coaster ride at times. We quit our traditional “jobs” to pursue working online and living a laptop lifestyle. It’s always been a dream to be able to spend more time as a family together and not have to trade our time for money.
We were able to take our two girls (6 yrs, 1 yr) to Disney in FL and site see. It was their first time. They loved going on the airplane for the first time and meeting Mickey and Minnie, as well as their great grandmom in Florida.
While working from home has freed up so much family time and we enjoy every moment, it definitely has had its stressful moments. How to find time and motivation to get work done and still get everything else done in the house. Keeping the kids occupied and happy while working is not an easy feat. This year has been a learning year for us as a family, just trying to figure out what type of schedule works for our new life and how to find balance and inner peace.
This coming year I will focus more on self-growth and working through the inner demons that sometimes keep me from accomplishing my goals. My goal is to work more on pushing out the negative self-talk that tries to creep into my mind. I want to meditate more, practice quieting my mind more often, and set aside daily time for self-growth and enlightenment. It’s important as a caregiver to prioritize more “Me” time to become more centered and control inner thoughts in a more productive and empowering way. This is the main goal set for this 2020, the year of clear 2020 focused vision.
We will be focusing on Mastering Our Money and Growth & Action Taking
This blog is going to be a way I can document and share my journey in hopes to inspire someone else to take drastic, extreme steps towards their life goals. I want to help others to dig deep and find motivation and focus to reach heir ultimate happiness.
If I can help one other mom like myself find the inner strength, that all of us are capable of, then that will be a major win for me. I have always had a difficult time connecting and helping others to see my way of thinking. The great power of the internet has amazing capabilities to bring together like-minded, strong, creative thinkers. This allows almost everyone to find their people (tribe as they say). This blog will be our path to inner peace, laser mental focus to accomplish major life goals, and balancing it all with life as a parent.
